Celebrating a Life
Robert “Bob” Lindqvist was born on March 14, 1941, in Two Harbors, Minnesota, the second of four children. He grew up fishing the North Shore with his father and singing in the church choir his mother directed, and he kept both habits all his life.
After serving in the Army Corps of Engineers, Bob came home to marry Carol Jensen in 1965. Together they raised three children in the house on Woodland Avenue, where the porch light and the coffee were always on.
Bob taught shop and drafting at Central High School for thirty-one years. Former students still stop by with birdhouses and bookshelves they built in his class. He was a trustee of his church, a Tuesday-morning volunteer at the food shelf, and the man to call when anything with a motor stopped working.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Carol; his children Karin (Mark), Erik (Julie) and Annika; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lars.
Bob met every day with a steady faith and a dry joke. We will miss his laugh, his patience and his hands that could fix anything.

Templates by style: cross, dove, floral, classic
Traditional
A cross, a dove, flowers, a framed photo: the familiar church look.
Evening SkyDeep navy outside, a gold moon and stars. For a celebration of life.
The samples use an invented family and placeholder photos.
What every funeral program template includes
The cover: a line such as “In loving memory of”, the photo, the full name, the dates, and the service, date and church.
The obituary page, with a check that it fits.
The order of service of your church tradition, ready to change: hymns, readings, prayers, the eulogy.
The back page: a word of thanks, pallbearers, the interment and the repast.
The booklet adds a scripture reading and a hymn with their full words, and a page of photos.
A prayer card, a memorial card and a thank-you card in the same design.
Edit online instead of fighting with Word
Word and Publisher templates break when the obituary runs long or a photo is the wrong shape. Here the pages are built for print: the obituary page tells you when it’s full, photos crop and zoom inside their frame, and the files come out ready for a home printer or a print shop. It works on a phone, saves as you type, and a private link lets family help from anywhere.
A free template vs. our editor: what you get
Price
Downloadable templates are often free or a few dollars. Here, designing and the proof are free and the print files cost one payment ($24 for a program).
Order of service
Templates leave it blank. Here it fills in from your church tradition.
Hymns and scripture
Templates need you to find and type them. Here they come from a library of public-domain hymns and the King James Version.
Printing
Templates need you to set up page order and margins. Here you get home-print, print-shop and share files and a print guide.
Cards
Usually a separate template. Here they match the program.

Do I need Microsoft Word?
No. You edit in your browser on a phone or computer and download finished PDFs.
How many photos can I add?
The bifold has one photo on the cover. The 8-page booklet adds a page with four more. You can upload up to 12 photos and choose which ones print.
